Hey BudWatercolor, Pencil and Pen14" by 10"This is my father-in-law TJ. I drew this from an awesome photo of him bein' a stud in the '70s in Edmonds, Washington. "Hey Bud" was just one way this Texan greeted you. We miss you TJ!

Sassy JanePencil and Pen4" by 6"Jane is my friend Dena's mom. I made this card for her 80th birthday. Her wry sense of humor, coupled with her knowing eye rolls, is one for the ages! She is the type of sassy I want to be.

Mabel Dodge Luhan in TaosWatercolor and Pencil14" by 20"For my 50th birthday, I went to a writing retreat led by Jen Louden. She was inspiring. The work, the writers, and the beauty of Taos stay with me. We stayed at The Mabel Dodge Luhan House. You could feel the presence of the artists who traveled through this lodge throughout the years. I love this quote from Mabel - "They do as they please, they say what they think, and nobody cares, for everyone is busy doing likewise."

Until the End of the WorldPencil6" by 6"My husband is probably the greatest U2 fan ever known. He grew up with their lyrics, comforting and inspiring as he faced all life threw at him. I asked him what his favorite song was, and he said, "Until the End of the World." I can see why. I found this unusual photo of Bono and did an overlay of the lyrics.
